Cristiano Ronaldo is without a doubt one of the world's most popular footballers. Despite overcoming numerous obstacles in his life, he rose to become one of the world's greatest footballers. Poverty, bullying, a lack of a good education, and a serious heart condition did not deter Cristiano Ronaldo from achieving greatness.

Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro widely known as Cristiano Ronaldo was born on February 5, 1985, in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal to a low-income family. His life was made difficult by his poverty. José's father used to work as a gardener and kit man in a football club for a pittance. His job as a kit man entailed supplying football players with equipment and cleaning their locker rooms. José felt very guilty about himself because he couldn't accomplish anything meaningful in his life, and he was also unable to properly feed his children due to poverty. All of his worries turned him into an alcoholic, but that didn't stop him from taking good care of Ronaldo.

Ronaldo later joined the football club Andorinha, where his father worked as a kit man. Ronaldo was humiliated by his teammates, who teased him because his father worked as a kit man, cleaning the players' locker rooms. Then, at the age of 12, he left his home and family to join Sporting CP, a football club where he could play football and study at the same time. Ronaldo was also humiliated by his teammates, who used to mock him for his way of speaking.

His teacher humiliated him when he was 14 years old by bugging him about his family's poverty. As a result, little Ronaldo became enraged and threw a chair at the teacher. Ronaldo was then expelled from school, and as a result of this incident, he lost interest in his studies. He explained this to his mother, who readily agreed to let his son play football instead of attending school. The state recognised his talent when he was 15 years old.

Ronaldo developed tachycardia, a serious heart condition in which the heart beats abnormally, at a young age.  Doctors advised him to stop playing football because it requires running, which aggravates tachycardia. Doctors presented him with a second option which was heart surgery. If the surgery succeeded he would survive or else it could lead to his death. Ronaldo's family appeared to prefer the first option, as surgery is not required and he can live his life without playing football or engaging in strenuous activity.

Ronaldo aspired to be one of the greatest football players of all time. He discussed his decision with his parents, and at the age of 15, he underwent open-heart surgery. He survived the surgery and was slowly recovering.  He began playing for the Portugal team when he was only 17 years old. His perseverance eventually propelled him to the top of the world football rankings. He achieved great success because he put his life in danger at a young age for his passion, football.

Ronaldo's father died in 2005 as a result of liver failure caused by alcohol abuse when Ronaldo was 20 years old. His family fell into even deeper poverty after their sole breadwinner died. After that, Ronaldo struggled to buy medicines and proper food. There was a match between Russia and Portugal on the day his father died. Despite the pain of losing his father, Ronaldo played the game and was named man of the match.

Ronaldo has become the face of the football sport. He drew billions of fans all over the world with his incredible play.  He is regarded as one of the best football players in the world. After seeing Ronaldo's performance in a match, the players of Manchester United requested that their manager include him in their team in 2003. Ronaldo became well-known as a result of this transaction, and he became one of the most expensive players in the world.

In 2009, in a sensational development, ahead of the 2009–10 season, Ronaldo joined Real Madrid for a world-record transfer fee at the time, of £80 million.  In 2018 Juventus acquired the services of Cristiano from Real Madrid 100m Euro deal.
