Visiting abroad is a dream for many Indians, be it for work, study or simply as a tourist. After completing my 10th standard, I felt it was a perfect time to visit abroad. But the question was, where do I go? Your first trip needs to be a memorable one, after all, the first impression is the last impression [doesn't mean that if I had a bad experience, I would never travel abroad].

In my previous blogs, I have talked about Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Portugal, and Spain. This time I wanted to travel back to Asia.

  • Things to do before any international trip
  1. The most important thing is to plan everything well in advance, at least 3-4 months just to avoid last minutes confusion and problems.
  2. Plan your trip based on your budget. For this trip, we spent almost 5-6 lakhs.
  3. Keep your passport ready [the most important tool for travel abroad]. If you are planning to apply for a new passport or want to renew an existing one, I would suggest doing that 3 months prior to planning a trip.
  4. Most countries need a visa for Indian visitors. So make sure to be prepared for that, keep all documents in hand. You may need to visit the Visa office for some countries, but in the case of Singapore they provided E-visa for 30 days [in 2016], Thailand gives visa on arrival, and for Malaysia to you need to show documents [passport, proof of accommodation, return flight tickets, photograph].
  5. Don't forget to store all your images in Google photos or on your laptop/Pc. If you don't do this you will end up losing almost all of them [Like me]. Do clean your phone storage before you travel anywhere.
  • If it is your first trip abroad and you plan to visit with your family, I would suggest taking the help of a travel agency, why? they take care of everything:

Spots to visit, especially the places where you need to buy tickets

       Hotels to stay

       Flights to take

Food to eat [for vegetarians you need to be cautious, you never know the food you are eating can be made of fish oil.

  • There are many options for travel agents: Kesari travels, Thomas cook, Veena travels, SOTC and many more [from Mumbai], but choosing the best is absolutely necessary.

We chose Thomas Cook. They took care of everything except our lunch. Any other expense? If you buy some artifacts, souvenirs, or something that is not mentioned in their itinerary.

Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen are three destinations that are worth visiting. Hong Kong is famous for its amazing skyline and high-rise buildings. Macau is famous for its luxurious casinos and shopping malls. Shenzhen is known for being one of China's most prosperous cities.

I recently took a trip to Hong Kong, Macau, and Shenzhen. A pretty unheard of destination for most people from the States. However, these 3 cities are not only some of China's wealthiest cities but they're also among the world's largest high-tech manufacturing centres.

This blog post is all about my experience in Hong Kong, Macau, and Shenzhen. I loved it so much that I decided to share my adventure with others before they go so they can learn about these amazing places.

Hong Kong is a metropolitan city on the southern coast of China, Macau is located on the west coast of China, and Shenzhen is about an hour's ride from Hong Kong. Let me tell you more about what you can find in these three cities!

Hong Kong A Brief Introduction

Hong Kong is a special administrative region of China and has a distinct way of life. The city's culture is strongly influenced by its colonial history, as well as Chinese and British traditions.

Some of the most iconic attractions for visitors to Hong Kong include a statue of a dragon at the entrance to the harbour, the historic Tian Tan Buddha at Ngong Ping, and Victoria Peak with incredible views of Kowloon and Shenzhen - China's answer to Silicon Valley.

1. The Waterfront Promenade  - is a reclaimed land promenade that runs alongside Victoria Harbour in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong's Kowloon peninsula. The West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade runs alongside Victoria Harbour on reclaimed land in Tsim Sha Tsui on Hong Kong's Kowloon peninsula.

2. Victoria Harbour - The panoramic night view and skyline of Victoria Harbour are well-known, particularly in the direction of Hong Kong Island, where the skyline of skyscrapers is superimposed over the mountains behind.

3. Jewellery factor hong kong - Passion Jewellery Manufacturing Limited is strategically managed by our Hong Kong headquarters, with stringent quality control by our project management team in China.

4. Aberdeen fishing village - Aberdeen Fishing Village, a Beautiful Harbour, Sampan Rides, Seafood Markets, and Floating Restaurants are just a few of the attractions.

5. Victoria peak hong kong - Victoria Peak is a hill on Hong Kong Island's western portion. Mount Austin is another name for it, as is The Peak. First and foremost, it is the ideal location to take in the best views of the world-famous Victoria Harbour, which are breathtaking both at night and during the day.

6. Ocean Park - The largest sea theme park in Asia, delivering thrilling water rides as well as the opportunity to see some of the country's interesting underwater life. At the Ocean Theatre, catch interesting marine life performances, particularly the multi-sensory show Symbio on a 360-degree water screen. Feel re-energized by the beauty of these aquatic creatures. Return to your hotel and spend the night there.

7. Disneyland - Hong Kong Disneyland is a theme park at Penny's Bay, Lantau Island, built on reclaimed ground. It is owned and managed by Hong Kong International Theme Parks and is located within the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. It is Hong Kong's largest theme park, followed by Ocean Park Hong Kong.

Visiting Macau

Macau is an autonomous region of China. It has a Portuguese style, but the Chinese culture is still present. Most people speak Mandarin or Cantonese there, but it's also possible to find people that speak English. The food in Macau is very diverse, with influences from all over Asia. It was really interesting eating some dishes that I don't normally see in my own country.

1. Casino Venetian macao - The Venetian is not only Macau's largest casino, but it also contains the world's largest gambling floor. There are 640 gaming tables (baccarat, sands stud poker, blackjack, sic bo, and roulette) and 1,760 slot machines specifically intended for the Asian market within its 376,000 square feet of gaming space.

2. Ruins of St. Paul’s, Monte Forte - The St. Paul's Ruins (also known as Sam Ba Sing Tzik) are located next to the Macau Museum and Mount Fortress. The only remnants of the grandest church are the front façade and the majestic stone stairway. St. Paul's Church, which was built in 1580, was destroyed by fires in 1595 and 1601.

3. A-Ma Temple - The A-Ma Temple in So Lourenço, Macau, China, is dedicated to the Chinese sea deity Mazu. The temple, which was built in 1488, is one of Macau's oldest. The temple is divided into six sections: the Gate Pavilion, the Memorial Arch, the Prayer Hall, the Hall of Benevolence (the temple's oldest part), the Hall of Guanyin, and the Buddhist Pavilion Zhengjiao Chanlin.

4. Macau Tower - The Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Center, popularly known as Macau Tower, is a building in Macau's Sé neighbourhood. From ground level to the highest point, the tower stands 338 metres tall. Views, restaurants, theatres, shopping malls, and the Skywalk X, a walking trip around the outer rim, are all available from the observation deck.

Visiting Shenzhen

Shenzhen is a city in China and is considered the Silicon Valley of China. One surprising thing I learned about it is that the city has 34 shopping malls and more than 800 brand-name shops. My favourite place to shop was Huaqiangbei, where I found many high-quality knockoffs.

1. Windows of the World - a historical theme park where replicas of all the world's wonders and historical landmarks have been built. For the ultimate photographs, pretend to be a giant in a land of midgets. You'll also be taken to see a modern exhibition of Chinese folk culture.

2. Shenzhen Bay Park - Shenzhen Bay Park is a waterfront urban park in the Chinese city of Shenzhen. The park stretches over 13 kilometres along the southern coast of Shenzhen, on the north shore of Shenzhen Bay, beginning near Shenzhen Bay Bridge and ending near Shenzhen Bay Bridge.

3.China Folk Culture Village - The China Folk Culture Village is located in Shenzhen, China, and is a part of the Splendid China Folk Village. It's next to the Splendid China theme park and offers exhibitions of China's 56 ethnic groups' daily lives and architecture.

4. COCO Park - Shenzhen's COCO Park is a collection of shopping malls. The main one is Futian COCO Park in Shenzhen's Futian District. COCO Park in Futian was founded in 2007.

Hong Kong, Macau and Shenzhen are beautiful places to visit. Some of the best have been listed in this article. In addition, I have tried to include a variety of not so well-known locations too.

Let me know if you are planning to visit these places soon.

Already in any of these places or if you previously visited these places, let me know your favourite place.
